Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage, has commented about being named by the BBC as one of the most inspirational and innovative women for 2017. The singer made the BBC’s list of 100 inspirational and innovative women for 2017. This year they are focussing on tackling problems women face around the world.
Her post reads: The women who made the list will be part of the 100 Women Challenge- split into four teams- sharing their experiences and creating innovative ways to tackle topical issues such as: The glass ceiling, Female illiteracy, Street harassment and Sexism in sport.
Tiwa is one of eight African women recognized for their works including the Liberian president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. Other countries that made the global list include Kenya, Morocco, Senegal and Zimbabwe.
